SR is a grandparent volunteer. Her grandchildren attend the Centre and nursery and she wanted to get involved in helping out. She has helped out organising events, such as ‘Woodgrange’s got talent’ a healthy fun day, quiz nights and other fundraising events.
SR has gained confidence; self-esteem started college and just finished a NVQ 3 certificate in Community Development. SR threw herself into volunteering to keep busy. She has had lots of support from Centre Staff and partner agencies. She attends groups with her grandchildren and has encouraged her son to volunteer as well.
