This experience has proved invaluable in shaping our programme of training and consultancies for professionals working with parents and families, particularly in guidance on engaging with those parents who, for whatever reason, do not make effective use of other services available to them. Working together to build parents’ trust and confidence, in turn, enables parents to participate more readily and effectively in longer programmes and other parenting support opportunities.
